Following on from Tokyo, Milan, and Paris, it was only natural that our city guide series would land in London sooner or later. So many of us behind the scenes at Type 7 have had the privilege to call this place home and the imprint it’s left on our lives will be evident throughout these 200+ pages. Every restaurant, shop, landmark, and museum curated within comes tested and lovingly recommended.

In many ways, London proved to be our most challenging guide yet. There might not be a city on earth that offers a greater breadth of experience, where millennia-old churches share ground with 21st century wine bars and a single street can host flavours from a hundred corners of the earth. From Shakespeare to Bowie, the city hums with stories left by the cultural giants who made their name here.

Confining all of this into a single book was never the aim, but the Type 7 Guide to London should instead give you enough of the ingredients to begin discovering your own version of London, as provided by a team who know what it’s like to walk these streets every single day.
