It’s almost impossible to make a truly perfect recipe for an event, but we think Fjordluft might just have found it.

Every Porsche gathering starts with a few simple pieces, and first and foremost, you have cars. Here’s where this event drops its first hint that it’s doing something a little different; an overwhelming majority of them are deceptively simple, until you take a closer look. Simple modifications, meaningful touches, and some extremely rare - but often understated - specs steal the show here. Expect a host of brilliant Paint to Sample cars, obscure option packs, and owners who are extremely eager to tell you everything about them.

The second part of the recipe is the setting, which we simply can’t get enough of. Lærdal feels as much a movie set as it does a habitable town, and for this weekend it’s entirely taken over by the event. Each street, hotel, and the surrounding roads feel like you’ve been transported to a world existing solely of aircooled and watercooled cars from Stuttgart, and that dream state is only made even better by the postcard-perfect houses and landscape.

The third part is, deceptively, the most difficult, and it’s here where Fjordluft drops its secret weapon; Norwegian hospitality.

It’s impossible not to fall into conversation with everyone here, there is no sense of exclusivity or elitism, and the party turns up to 11 as the sun starts to set.

Out together, it means Fjordluft might just be one of the best events on the map, and not just in Scandinavia. We can’t wait to see how it develops in the future, and there’s no doubt that once we’re home, we’ll be wishing we could come back.
