Loic Chietera's 911SC is the ultimate photographer's muse.

“The SC represents much more than a simple object: it’s a passion, an investment, and a real tool for my photography work.”

Owning a vintage car often turns into a bit of a personal photography project, but where most are happy with the occasional phone camera snap, Loic Chietera takes things a step further with his Porsche 911 SC. In the time he’s had it, Loïc’s car has developed a whole cinematic identity within his broader photography portfolio, with each outing seemingly another opportunity for a photoshoot.

“I knew I absolutely wanted a grey one” says Loïc, speaking to Type 7. “It’s a French car, all original, and it had that little something unique that spoke to me right away. The colour is a blueish grey and the unusual interior immediately caught my eye.

I’ve really used it daily, not just on weekends. In eight months I put 36,000 kilometres on it between road trips and everyday use. I bought it with my current partner, we’ve shared incredible moments in it, shooting films and taking photos together. Of course we’re going to shoot more, films and photos in a variety of settings. The car really is part of me, and part of the three of us - my partner and her daughter Tallulah. We built this project together, which makes it that much more special.”
